The Ram's Head is the most popular, but the early Triangle and the later Big Muff, which is closer to the current specs, are also popular. Since this comes down to personal preference, I definitely recommend checking them out with your own ears, but personally, I still prefer the Ram's Head. I do own the original, but because it's so expensive, I use a clone model called "The Tower" by Organic Sounds on my effector board, which is exceptionally well-made. Since getting your hands on an original can sometimes be difficult, and there are many high-quality clones available, it's worth considering them. By the way, as a clone for the Triangle era, "Gruff Result" by Roshi Pedals is also recommended. Be sure to check out various options.
