That's true. It's difficult, but if we're talking about the QC... I think the general direction would be figuring out how to recreate that ES-335-style body resonance, and how much to use EQ to shape the overly strong sound pressure. First, regarding the body resonance, I think you could try using acoustic or semi-hollow IRs, or creating it with reverb. Just be careful not to rely too much on reverb, otherwise it will just sound like a heavy reverb effect. Also, for the EQ, I think it's better to cut the low-mids a bit before applying IR or reverb processing. It's tricky, and I'm not sure if it will fully turn into a 335 sound, but I imagine it would get rid of the Les Paul feel and lean more towards a semi-hollow vibe. I haven't actually tried it myself, so please excuse my imagination, but this is my answer.
