What is the difference between the Quad Cortex and Quad Cortex Mini? Is it just the size?
There are no major software differences between the Quad Cortex and the Quad Cortex mini. The available effects, capture features, and processing power are completely identical. However, in terms of hardware, the standard model has 10 footswitches while the mini has 4. While the number of assignable scenes remains the same, the number of scenes and stomps you can access at once differs. Additionally, although the mini has fewer buttons, it is lighter and smaller. Therefore, depending on your use case, you might choose the standard Quad Cortex if you want an all-in-one standalone unit, or the mini if you plan to integrate it into a pedalboard.
